Think Before You Drink
Ever wondered why you can’t buy ‘Diet’ Phoenix or Phoenix ‘Zero’? It’s because we pride ourselves on producing the most natural soft drinks you can buy. That means avoiding anything artificial, including Aspartame.
Aspartame is by far the most common artificial sweetener in ‘diet’ drinks and foods. It’s always been controversial and according to independent (non-industry funded) doctors and researchers, Aspartame can cause a range of symptoms ranging from mild and transitory to debilitating and life-threatening. From headaches and depression to blindness, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and multiple sclerosis. Ironically for a ‘diet’ additive, Aspartame is even claimed to encourage obesity because it stimulates a craving for carbohydrates!
On the other hand, Aspartame supporters insist that it has been thoroughly tested and found to be safe.
Maybe they’re right. Maybe the research, suggesting it is dangerous, is wrong. Maybe the hundreds of thousands of people who say it made them sick are just paranoid. Maybe. But why risk it? In the face of so much controversy from so many ‘experts’, it makes sense just to avoid the stuff altogether.
And here at Phoenix, that's exactly what we do.
